From choosing a research topic to publishing a paper, this intensive program helps students develop critical thinking, academic writing, and communication skills that top universities value.

The program is led by current IVY League undergraduates who have extensive training and experience in helping students navigate the college application process. Our coaches are selected from our pool of already rigorously screened IVY League students to ensure you get the most out of your experience.
Overview of different types of research, what counts as research, how to find research opportunities, forming a thesis, and understanding how to write a research paper.
Defining a research problem, making observations, forming a hypothesis, conducting experiments, and drawin conclusions.
How to read and critique academic papers, understanding the publication process, and presenting research professionally and clearly.
Academic writing conventions, formatting a research paper, types of sources, finding credible sources, and proper citations.
Conducting a literature review and learning how to evaluate different types of sources for credibility and relevance.
Analyzing evidence and data, and formulating an original thesis for the research project.
Writing a 1500–2000 word research paper under mentor guidance, applying the skills learned in previous weeks.
Presenting the completed research project and findings to peers and mentors, demonstrating communication skills and subject-matter expertise.
